Alexandra is an amazing pet sitter! I would highly recommend her for outstanding pet care. We took our two small dogs to her. She has an amazing backyard for the pooches to run and play. Alexandra provided updates and pictures during our dogs stay. She went above and beyond our expectations! You definitely will not be disappointed!

I would give 10 stars if I could. Alexandra was amazing with our Louie. From the first moment we met for a meet-and-greet, I knew that she would be perfect. Louie is a recent rescue with a lot of issues, trust being one of them. Alexandra has a calm confidence about her, that was exactly what he needed. It is instantly obvious that she both loves and knows dogs and is very experienced, so I had absolutely no hesitation in leaving Louie with her for a month. I got regular updates with pictures and it was very obvious that they bonded and that she was very fond of him. Alexandra treated him as if he was her own cherished dog and I was afraid that he wouldn’t want to leave. She will be a valued person to take care of Louie for as long as she wants to be. Absolutely would recommend Alexandra without hesitation.

Alexandra is a wonderful pet sitter who takes excellent care of our chihuahua.
She is kind, caring, and always sends us updates! I was nervous about finding a good sitter but I’m glad I found her. Our chi stayed with her on multiple occasions including a 6 week stay last summer. I would highly recommend her. Thank you very much!

Ali took care of Spruce like it was her own baby. She’s very communicative and you can tell she cares about all dogs. As our pup is very young we’re super happy that not only did she shower him with love she also was not afraid to set boundaries in a good and respectful manner.

This was our first time leaving out dog with Rover or someone who we closely knew. When I first met Alexandra I could tell right away she was the perfect person to sit out lil pomchi and she understood what comes with taking care of a small dog. Her home had little stairs for blue to go up the couch, beds and toys. My worries quickly melted away when I dropped him off for our two week honeymoon and he ran towards her. Something I have never seen him do with someone he only met once! She sent lots of photos and updates and never had me wondering if he was ok. I would highly recommend Alexandra and would definitely use her services again ( I know bluey would love it too!)

We used Alexandra to care for our blind, diabetic min pin/chihuahua for a week. Her place was very clean, organized and super comfy for dogs! Brady enjoyed his meet and greet plus looked very happy in all the pictures we received while away.
Alexandra was super helpful coordinating pick up/drop off from family as well as problem solving a food issue. She was also totally comfortable with giving needles and medication twice a day.
Totally recommend this home, especially for dogs who require a quieter setting!

After kenneling my dogs around Manitoba for the past four years, I thought I would pull the trigger and try something else.
I'm an anxious and over attached owner that tends to spend most of his holidays worrying about my dogs. Kennels can be noisy, smelly, stressful and exhausting. As much care as the staff can put in and as best as the facilities can be.. I'm not going back.
Alexandra is a wonderful carer who takes the time to come to know your puppies and calm any anxiety you have in regards to the stay. I immediately noticed such on the first meeting where we spent a good little while discussing exactly the care and attention my two dogs would need as well as what to expect of their behaviour and personalities. While my pets did not require any intense or specific care, she is clearly experienced in providing such if required.
Alexandra has a spacious yard with plenty of vegetation for shade and exploration. It's large enough to play fetch and get a good run in at the same time.
The residence is spacious as well and well kept with care taken to make sure nothing hazardous or of concern.
During their stay, I received plenty of updates and pictures of my two happy and well cared for girls.
This is the first holiday since I've had both that not at one point was I concerned, stressed or debating whether to call or text in for an update. I knew they were well and as a result, so was I.
upon my return from a kennel, my dogs would be stressed, anxious, tired, sometimes even smell of urine from the surroundings that they are in. This is absolutely different. They were happy, excited but otherwise much more well behaved. They clearly were not stressed out and it felt more like a visit to a friend's house for them than anything else.
While I can't cover every single point in this review, I cannot recommend Alexandra enough. It's your pet's home, closer to yours than any facility. I most definitely recommend anyone in or around Portage looking for a hassle-free, stress-free, attentive and dedicated sitter for your dog or dogs, absolutely give her a shout!
I certainly will be booking again whenever possible for future holidays.
